Guys. This is a woman grappling with an armed soldier wearing nothing but a jacket.
I think we need to know her name.

Diana Prince

this is why I wanted to be a war journalist. how powerful is this segment. why did it not make it on the news?

Because Western/US media supports Israel’s war crimes, just as the US funds and arms Israel’s ethnocidal regime.

In case anyone else is like me and didn’t get the Diana Prince joke at first and was super confused (Wonder Woman) and is curious to know who she is, she appears to be Huwaida Arraf (first link to her Twitter, second to her Wikipedia page).

thank you for the links and correct info, leggy

my grandfather always had candy in his pockets, and one time when I got really sick and I was hospitalized my dad told him not to give me any candy. He pulled out his pockets to show he hadn’t even brought any and I got really sad but as soon as my dad walked out of the room he then proceeded to take off his hat and had 2 chewy chocolate candy toffees and 2 orange fanta toffees, and I’ll never forget the happiness and surprise I felt in that one moment in my entire life.

Cops and Robbers (and Zombies and Humans)

Cops and Robbers is a mathematical game in which pursuers (cops) attempt to capture evaders (robbers). The game is one of many pursuit-evasion games, each of which is governed by a different set of rules. The general goal of these problems is to determine the number of pursuers required to capture a given number of evaders.

The GIFs above show two versions of the game. The first is similar to the standard Cops and Robbers rendition, and the second is best described as “Zombies and Humans”.

In both versions, an evader moves in the direction that gets it furthest away from the pursuers (focusing more on the closer pursuers), and a pursuer moves in the direction that gets it closest to the evaders (focusing more on the closer evaders).

In the first simulation, members of both groups have a constant speed. In the second simulation, members of a group move more quickly the closer they are to members of the opposite group, and slower when further away.

Actually, I think the kid is playing Minecraft. Which is essentially digital Legos.
Two generations of creative people, just different methods of expression. Let’s not shit on the digital age as much, ‘eh?

You know what’s great about Minecraft?
You don’t get lacerations from stepping on it.

You know what’s great about legos?Your shit doesn’t get blown up because a green penis snuck up on you.

to all the australians who hear about news in america (ferguson, trayvon martin, school shootings) and pat yourselves on the back thinking we’re a better nation - we are not. racism is fucking rampant in australia, we just don’t have the ease of access re: weapons that america has. i am livid right now - this is sad, and disgusting, and inexcusable. i feel like our government will look back on our current treatment of refugees/asylum seekers/non-white australians in 20 years and admit how horrific, racist and inhumane it is. but fuck, people need to be loud about this NOW. if you support or defend the current government, this is what you’re supporting and defending. make no mistake - you can’t justify supporting tony abbott because you’re “only economically conservative!”. this is what you’re supporting. fuck australia, fuck abbott, fuck scott morrison. i am so ashamed and disgusted to be australian right now.

the lack of school shootings makes us a better nation by default

Hatred of Cersei is nowhere near misogyny, she is just an annoying character who is nearly impossible to like, she isn't strong or respectable, it has nothing to do with her being a woman

Hi! I woud say that’s the case for some people, like yourself, yes. And that’s perfectly fine. As I have said, I would never try to change people’s opinion regarding Cersei or any other character. I don’t agree with you, but you have expressed an opinion based on logical points. (You shouldn’t generilize, tho. You can find a lot of instances of people having no problem on liking Cersei in this very site. The fact that you dont like her, because of your own reasons, doesn’t mean people have to feel the same way).

But when people add certain words (“bitch” comes to mind) to their arguments, it really says something that goes beyond critical thinking, imo. Also, when people idolizes a male character that has exactly the same traits Cersei and many other female characters have, and say that he’s an “anti-hero”, while the female counterpart is a “terrible person”, then we are talking about something else.

I acknowledge that many people don’t like Cersei for reason that doesn’t have to do with mysoginy. And that’s great, as I have said many, many times. No problem here. People should think as they like. But I’m afraid there are a number of people who have a problem with her precisely because she’s a woman.

Just my opinion, of course :)

Cersei is one of my favourite characters in the entire story and I’m looking forward to her chapters in TWOW incredibly badly.

People just like to be jerks it seems. God forbid you like something or someone they don’t. Let alone have the hide to post it on your own blog.
